Playing on the Internet: what games are good and where?

I've been trying to find my niche on the internet for a while and played a few different games and sites to try and find what's profitable for me.

My results so far show that I turn a steady profit by sticking to limit holdem, with my average stakes being $1-$2. I played this a lot on Pacific, mostly last year. My most profitable single game by far has been $1-$2 limit Pineapple on Paradise Poker (people play it SO BADLY) but this game now seems to have dried up and the tables have been empty every time I've looked recently.

Unfortunately I find limit poker a horrible boring grind. Judging from my stats I might be able to make a living from it if I can move up the stakes to $3-$6 or higher but I don't know how long I could keep it up because I find the play so mechanical.

I have had good results at NL MTTs, mostly at Paradise and UB, but with high variance and I find it hard knowing what % of my bankroll I should be willing to pay as a MTT entry.

My NL ring results are highly erratic because of all the games I've played, this one is the most sensitive to how well you're playing, what mood you're in, how much attention you're paying, etc. One mistake and you can lose your stack. I do find this game the most interesting (I've mostly played $1-$2 NL full ring) and I do well in it live, but online I have been an overall loser, making decisions that I wouldn't in live play. I'm not sure why this is.

I've played a lot of SnGs and I find that these are also extremely sensitive to how well I'm playing, like NL ring. I have a good SnG game when I'm paying 100% attention all the way through.

I've played some Omaha both Hi and HiLo, online and live, and I just don't know enough about that game yet. I'm learning, because I am guessing there's more money to be made in that game than any other, but at the moment that money is for other people to make off me ;-P

I'm going to join a couple of new (to me) sites over the next while, including PokerStars which I haven't played on before for some reason. So I would love some feedback on what games people have found most profitable in their online careers, what % of BR you will pay for MTTs, what sites are good, etc. I understand people may not want to share the details of their juciest games! But I'm looking for general guidance about what direction to go in online play. At the moment my sensible option seems to be to grind away at limit and save my NL play for live games.

A hint about what analysis software people use would be helpful too.
