DVD plays then Switches to B&W !

    I have a problem with a system, well its a mini system, tuner DVD player built in Hard drive..
    Hitachi AX-M140 http://www.which.co.uk/images/225/image/pjpeg/image-90406.jpg


    The DVD player connects to a tv and plays perfectly for about 20 minutes
    and then the screen goes black and white doesnt matter what the movie is !


    Any ideas ? I am at my wits end as its usless in this state..

    OK, my take on it is that sometihng or some component is heating up and causing the problem or If I am lucky its a dry solder joint..

    ANYONE know where you can get DVD or HI FI's repaired at a reasonable cost ??
