    Haven't bought anything from him, but he lives down the road from my parents... Nice guy, savage collection of cars, couple of jet skis and all sorts of nice stuff in the garden ;) Probably a good thing to get someone who's working as their hobby rather than just making a quick buck...

    Saw the 360 and the Q7 in convoy on the M50 one night. Took some photos for the number plate thread but quality of pics wasn't worth posting.

    His UK plates seems to be common knowledge judging by the posts here. How come the Customs & Excise haven't given him a bell to collect VRT?

    Is selling cars his main business?

    Well he was also a Professional Boxer but I think he was retired. His last fight was on the last Dunne undercard and he was a replacement for another fighter not sure if he has retired or not. His nickname is the Pink Panther.

    Don't know about the VRT, but it really irks me everytime I see him or his missus spinning around in some nice machine on that UK plate. (Yes I'm a bitter person who has paid lots of VRT!)

    Perhaps the UK plate is a vanity thing, but he's actually driving on Irish garage plates ? Must take a closer look next time.

    I think garage owners can do this as all the cars are "for sale".

    He does pay vrt when he puts it on irish plates to sell it.Like the x5 he sold.and he has 360 etc on uk plates and they are for sale so when somoene buys it he will vrt it.Theres no point in vrting it now and have money held up. :)

    The reason I ask is that he sounds like he's managed to buy a lot of toys for someone who's not dealing that many cars. Fat margins are good for him, not for the buyer.

    I went down on a Saturday morning about 6 weeks ago and the place wasn't open. Either the business is good enough to allow a 5 day week or he had a session on Friday. :D

    <snip> My own experiences, I had my car returned 5 times in my 3 month warrenty. My neighbour had to replace an engine in a car one month over the 3 month warrenty. A car he spent €11,000 on.

    I bought mine for €10,000 and I got less than a year before it packed it in on the way up the north.

    On the 5 times I returned my car I had to deal with 4 different sales people. Said he had to 'get rid' of one or two of the others.

    <snip>

    I am still paying for my car I bought from him even though I am now driving my newer car two years!
