My husband likes poker (hence the name) and I want to buy a poker magazine for Fathers day. Can anyone recommend one that delivers to Ireland that you poker lovers think is good? I looked at cardplayer.com and the site kinda freezes when I click on subscriptions. Any other ideas are very welcome but he has loads of chips and books.

    Thanks :)

A friend of mine had some casino chips bought for him for his birthday. Thought this was a nice gift. (I mean actual monetary value cash game chips from the casino)

Had a subscription to cardplayer myself..its cheap and delivers to Ireland but the magazine doesnt have much content that he cannot get for free off the website

Another idea is a non poker item that would be used while playing poker...good headphones, mp3 player or shades etc

magazines365.com is Irish owned and has subscriptions to cardplayer Europe and US.

    Its Culchie's site I think.

I subscribed to Cardplayer Europe the other day, it's a steal at $19 for the year (12 issues) with free delivery.
    Go to: http://www.cardplayer.com/cpeurope/
Clicking the subscription banner takes you to their cardplayer store, creating an account takes about a minute.

I presume you live in the gaeltacht area...only place where women buy their husbands father's day gifts...mmm maybe some parts of Wexford.

Thanks for the replies. I am from Limerick  Don't all women buy their husbands gifts from the children? Suppose it depends on the ages of the children.

    Thanks again.

Inside Edge is a good poker magazine. Also available through magazine365.

I think Bluff Magazine is probably the most interesting Poker magazine.

hey, dont mean to hijack the thread, but what in everyones opinion is the best poker magazine to subscribe to?

ive been looking to subscribe to one for awhile now but have never got round to it.

at moment im just playing .12/.25 no limit hold'em, and am looking for a magazine with a mix on strategy, interviews and coverage.

    any suggestions?
    cheers

don't bother with any of them. you're not gonna pick up much from magazines tbh.
