I know it ain't a Bacchus or a Lakland or even the Stingray I started off wanting but I did some serious thinking and realised I've never played a better bass than my uncles Warwick. Combine that with double Hums that can be tapped and neck through design I was sold.

Plus it doesn't hurt that it's one sexy ass mo-fo. Should pay it off by end of July and of course there will be pics.

    edited for better pics

That's ok, it leaves more Bacchuses for me :D

Nice bass, can't argue with that.

Yeah add the fact the upper horn looks like a penis, you've got yourself a winner right there!

I'm sure I'll get round to a Bacchus at some point though, them woodgrain finishes are nice. Might even get that blonde one! How would you like that? :p

Originally was gonna get it from a dealer I know in the States. Price was $2000 shipped. But with customs it would've pushed the bass to €2000.
So I had a look around and saw GAK.co.uk were selling the 5 string for £1299. Shot them a mail and asked the price for the 4. They replied incredibly quickly (really excellent customer service) told me 1189, but they'd knock off 50 if I wanted the gig bag rather than the flight case. So I'm paying 1165 sterling shipped (about 1700 euro). Payed off 10% of that today.

    Can't wait!

i'm in work as we speak making some bread to blow on a bass so ya never know. if i was getting a bacchus it's be that dark 4-stringer (of course) with the f hole. i was tempted to pick up the one ya showed me but was slightly bewildered by the payment process so i left it for a while.

have been looking at a fender jag (gasp, a fender i hear you say!) all week on thomann. the red one. *drools* prob gonna pick one of those up in the near future. what say you to that?

The Jags are very, very nice basses by all accounts, but you've got to get a Bacchus first. Don't do it to yourself. You don't want me to continue at you like this, surely? :D

dunno if they'd really suit my style as i havent played one. it'll always be second fiddle to Mr. Ric anyway.

not forgetting that the ishibashi site is such a pain in the arse. reckon they'll ever be available outside japan?
