20 Something Sun Holiday

    Hey All,

    Just wondering where all the 20 somethings are heading on the holidays this year. A group of 4 lads are looking for somewhere to go where there would be a bit of craic but we don't want it really rough and price would be a consideration too!

    We were looking at Ayia Nappa but apparently its 8euro for a pint bottle over there!? Any other ideas??

    Most places are very cheap. They tend to do lots of offers like in a place called Players you can purchase 'buy two get two free' of any drink.

    players was my fave bar there
    always started off in there n headed down the strip n often ended up back in there

    6 euro for vodka and redbull in there but ya get two for one

    bout 4 or 5 euros for a beer over there, lots of places will do 2 for 1 and free shots etc

    not the cheapest but well worth it

    cud have a night out n get LOCKED with 50 euros

    Depends what you are looking for ... personally I would recommend somewhere like Barcelona...relatively cheap place, think the beer isnt too pricey, there is a lot of sightseeing and a bit of culture and a good nightclub scene down at the Casino with free entrance and open all night. Downsides are that you always have to watch out for pickpockets and avoid getting seperated at night time as you could get mugged (sometimes at knifepoint).
    But that is the same with all continental cities. There is a nice beach as well.

    I was in Barcelona in Feb for a long weekend. I agree it was good auld craic but I wouldn't say it was cheap, around the same prices as Dublin I thought.

    I thought a weekend was long enough though. Don't think I could last a week there.

    Also you're dead right about the pick pockets, I had three attempted muggings on me and in around the same for the other 3 lads in the group. We were all fairly big fellas though so when we caught them at it there was no hassle. The just laughed, shook your hand and walked away. It was very strange.
