Hi, I looking at quiting my current job and going back to Bar work, I've 4 years Exp in it and i'm just wondering what the rate of pay is no a days. I've a interview for a 4 star hotel in wexford on Friday and they are saying they are paying "Excellent Salary" what is a Excellent Salary in bar work ? thanks.

3 years ago, in a local pub, it was €10.50 an hour. Check who is the main barman's union, and ask them, as they may be able to give you a rough idea depending on your area.
