Me and my girlfriend are tying the knot aug 2008 and we wanna get to orlando for our honeymoon as both of us are nuts into theme parks and we can't think of a better place to go then orlando. Anyone been here on honeymoon suggestions for hotel and best time to book? - we wanna stay on or about International Drive as the 2 weeks will be all about Disney and Universal etc.. P.S Hurricanes are they much of a threat really? I read that in 2004 hurricane charley hit orlando but it only lasted just over and hour and that was orlandos first serious hurricane in over 30 years.

Went there on our honeymoon in 1998. First son born 9.5 months later!:)
Went in May, stayed in Ramada on International Drive. Can't really comment on hotels on International drive since....
Been back 4 times since, and always hired a villa.
Book as soon as you can. August = very busy, but at least you have charter airlines during August. Check with the likes of Budget and American Holidays when they'll take reservations from you. You can book EI flights 330 days in advance, and they fly during the week, unlike the charters which are generally only one a week.
Also check out Virgin Airlines via Manchester
If you could wait to travel till September, it will make a big difference in flight prices, and accomodation. Also parks will not be as busy, or as warm.
I have only ever gone in April or May. Check out tripadvisor forum for specific questions on hurricanes in Sept.
    hope that helps a little!
