Changing Aer Lingus Flight Details

Hi all,

Just wondering if I can do this.
My parents booked flights to New York for a week at the end of June/July with Aer Lingus.
They're not sure they can go anymore.
Myself and my boyfriend want to go to New York in January. Would we be able to change the date and names on the bookings to what we want without too much of a cost/hassle?

You can most certainly change them, but as for the cost/hassle - you just know Aer Lingus will charge you through the nose for it.

I had to change a flight a few weeks back, AFAIR, it was €35 to change the time (same name, same date). I think it is something like €80 to change the name of the person. You have to ring them to change the names, it can't be done online.

So you are proabably looking at €80x2 and €35x2 which is €230, according to my personal computation device.

Turns out it costs e70 for a name change and e35 to change a flight in each direction. So it's e140 each in total to change the details.
