God of War difficulty level

    I was playing God of War and kept dying at a tricky bit. The option of changing the difficulty level to easy came up and I selected it by accident. I can't seem to change the difficulty level back up to normal. I don't want to play on easy mode.

    How can I change it back or is there a cheat code that can do this?

    There are two bits I can think of where this would happen. First is in a room with moving floors and rotating spike-filled cones as walls, where there are archers on ledges and a sh1t load of Harpees flying around.

    Second is in the room with the floor that opens up after a certain amount of time, where you have to kill everyone before you fall through.

    Same thing happened to me with the difficulty levels and I couldn't get back to hard mode afterwards...

    Just dont save after you have made the change.
    Reset the game and start from previous save point.
    You'll only lose a small piece of progress.

    Of course if you have saved your arsed.

    I'm in the habit of periodically making a backup save, just incase something happens, a glitch in the game etc...

    I'm arsed so! The last save on the proper difficulty level is a while back and I'm not sure if I want to play through the sections again as they were quite tough.

    I thought there might be some cheat code that could do it..

    Was it combat or a puzzle you got stuck on, because as far as I remember, it was only the combate the got easier / harder on different difficulties?

    It is only the combat. But the combat on normal is nice blend of being not so easy you would glide through it and not so hard you smash the controller off the tv in frustration.

    exact same thing happened to me -ruined the last third of the game cos it was ridiculously easy afterwards. Being real careful on GOW2 now.
