buying an import console

    hi guys

    im heading away to thailand soon, and was thinking of getting a PS3 over there if they were very cheap.

    Im just wondering, whats the story with import consoles? Would i have to import the games too, or will it run the games from over here?
    What about blu-ray movies, do they ahve to be imported?
    Would online be ok?
    Do i need anything else for power?

    If anyone has imported a console before they were released here, can you let me know whats the story?

    The games are region free and they should work.
    Blu Rays are usually region locked so they will have to be imported, though a good few of them region free at the moment though that will likely change if they become more popular, check online before you buy!
    Online should be ok, but I'm not sure about the power though, perhaps someone else on here could shed some light on that for you.
