This browser uses proper colour management and is available now for windows. Beta only but it looks interesting: http://www.apple.com/safari/

And for once I thought you were talking about a safari where you see some wild animals.

I only know a handful of Mac users who use Safari so Im a bit sceptical about how well this will take off for those of you on the 'dark side'. Variety and choice is always good I guess. I was about to say I wont be using it but hey.. i wouldnt touch a windows machine with a ten-foot barge pole ;) (/hides all evidence of bootcamp) :D

Nice idea, but I dont see it swaying the FF and Opera heads in the slightest!

    Not a bit.

It is very fast, I like that.

Cant make up for the fact that its pug fugly, and the font rendering is absolutely horrible.

A number of security problems have been found in it in the first 24 hours.

Yep, I read that the beta is more of an alpha with bugs aplenty especially in on non US english versions of windows.

Its nice to have the option tho, can't fault apple for that.

For windows users - If anyone is interested in seeing the difference between an ICC colour profile aware browser and one that isn't try this: Download Safari. Open this picture in your normal browser and in Safari at the same time. Switch back and forth. You'll notice that the AdobeRGB image has tons more depth and tones.

It's also a good way of showing why you shouldn't upload AdobeRGB files to the net.

    Interesting.............

I have no idea. I just use it as a bit of diversion.

It's one of the things that's going to be fixed in Firefox 3 apparently.
