    Hi guys,
am doing a very basic site for a friend, it is a computer site aimed at the local market, and there will be a need for images..

PS. Right here is an example-
    LINK
Can he use the laptop image if selling the product?
If so, can he alter the image such as the background to mix with site background?

    Thanks for help guys:D

The pictures are part of their site and therefore their property. However, if you were to email their support and ask them nicely then they may allow you to copy some of the images.

    I'd say they'll say no ... ? ..

But if he's selling HP stuff ... then you could presumably get hig res images from HP media department or from his supplier .. ?

But do the images not originate from the company who designed the product itself? Or is it that the images are made by the site who resells the product?
    Cheers guys

Where you think they originate from I would imagine is largely irrelevant as you won't know until you contact dabs. Emailing the manufacturer is a good idea as they would obviously be keen on building 'sales outlets' and they will supply you with good images. They may also supply you with a rake of rules about how to use the pics!
