Wow, seems I was a bit harsh in my estimation of the episode!

I gave it a '6', because '5' is average and this was just above average.

There are too many annoyances too ignore, for instance, they were in the court house when the FBI spotted them, they are two of the most wanted men in the US, and yet there was only one patrol car and two officers chasing them. In reality the entire city police force would have converged on that van and sealed the entire area.

Other than that, it was all very exciting. I felt so bad for the Vet, being told he was going to die one way or the other.

RTE, please bring back the double episodes.

It was good but with Prison Break you can see the elastic band stretching and stretching and....how long before it snaps?

The escapees are finding themselves in ever more desperate circumstances further away from where they want to be - much like last season really.

Why would there be so few guards at a hearing for the son of the most wanted man in America? Would a coerced vet would be able to reattach an arm that easily and effectively and why didn't he botch the op to escape? Why would Pope stand up and quit over a corrupt guard? It's enough to make me want to smash the Taj Mahal.

The writers seem to have watered down the presidential storyline- no great loss really, I always found it a little boring.

The murder of the vet was chilling. Tweener's characters is fun to watch too. (It's a little weird to think the actor who plays him will be going to jail in real life for a DUI which resulted in someone dying).

Bellick's man hunt should be interesting. It looks like a season about the brawn (Bellick & Lincoln) and the brains (Michael and FBI agent Mahone).

How will Michael and his bro get of this week's hair climax? Tune in next Monday for more hairbrained McGuyver style escapades.

I still think that the vet is alive as did teabag check he was not?
Think it needs to pick up the pace a bit with all the characters in different places it is a little disjointed.

Man, I dont know whether its coz the last few episodes of Lost were brilliant or because im finding Heroes excellent, but jesus these last two episodes have been so average.

For the people who get it from their American cousins... Does it get any better?

I've seen all of season 2 and I thought the same thing about the first few episodes. I thought that it's be the same thing every week, almost getting caught, just about escaping, but with a cheap "cliffhanger" at the end.

I'm glad I was wrong. The season does get much better, and I really enjoyed it! Don't take my word for it now, it's just my opinion:D ....

And why the hell didn't the officers shoot at the tyres of the van they got into?

Overall I enjoyed it though, fast paced and exciting as it always is.. 8/10.

I've also heard the season does get a lot better after the first few episodes.

Yeah, that was totally stupid in fairness.

Also, how did Mike and Linc get from the elevator shaft to the street so quickly? Mahone had the building sealed off but they still got out the front way too fast.
Also, I don't believe that LJ would be smart enough to figure out what Linc wanted him to do when he said "On the third, look out for Otis Right".

It's getting stupid. I don't mind if there's some unrealistic scenes - they're in every US (and no-US) tv drama. I mean, I watch Lost.

But the fact that a VET attached T-bags hand (a hand that hadn't been in ice for at least a day) to his arm without anaesthetic and he was able to withstand it (apart from getting a bit sick afterwards) - it's ridiculous! And now his hand works fine and dandy? Jaysus...have to admit the scene where he killed him was good though.

Good to see Tweener again even if it didn't get very far. Somebody surely should have noticed that he looked a tad like the chap on the front page of every newspaper ;)

Oh, and as mentioned you'd think there'd be more security at the courthouse, you'd think that they would have more police after the 2 most wanted men in America.

And I find it hard to believe that both LJ and Mahone caugh on about the Otis Right thing. And if Mahone did suspect something why did he escort LJ in the lift on his own? Why send the guard packing?

A bit stupid that Pope resigned and VERY predictable with Bellick.

I'm not liking these first 2 episodes. Here's hoping it gets better. Everyone says it does.

I gave it a 5/10 just cos of the action - it wasn't that bad an episode. Just predictable and unrealistic.

It gets much better. Since you're comparing it to LOST, think back to the first couple of episodes of LOST season 3 and remember how bad they were, but then it picked up and was great. Same thing happens with Prison Break. I think it's the next episode or the one after that the storylines for the season start unfolding and we see more of Sarah, Kellerman, Haywire and Tweener and Sucre, C-Note, T-Bag, Bellick and Mahone will become more interesting characters aswell.

For a while, then dips mid-season, then really picks up towards the end
