Here are some shots from yesterdays carshow for c & c.

I decided to put these in a different thread as the other one would be 56k heavy otherwise.

The worst problems on the day (aside from the vw carkeys) were the amount of people walking across shot and having to be cloned out afterwards.

there aren't many things in this life as fine as a good mustang. I think I'll have to watch gone in 60 seconds again tonight after seeing the first two photos.

Cheers - not sure what that car is - It reminded me a bit of the clockwork orange car (durango http://digilander.libero.it/stanleykubrick/arancia/arancia-durango95.htm ) but I think its something else. The seat covers had Cobra written on them, but no badge or label that I could see so my guess would be a kit car.

How wide a lens did you take these with?

They were either the 50mm 1.4 or 17-40L on a full frame. The vignetting was due to using a polariser and an ND combined. I had a peleng 8mm with me thinking I would need it but the cars were spaced far enough apart that it stayed in the bag.

I love the bleachy denim look of the first two... shame about that pesky fence, though :(

You got some excellent shots of the gas masks - that first one is fantastic. I just love how the metal - well - it looks so metallic, heh. Seriously, it jumps off the screen, looks like you could touch it. Cool.

great shots there - yeah the first one particularly looks like a "bleach bypass" think i had a filter that would do that at one point.

the bystanders at events like this can be a challenge when your trying to frame just the car eh?
    :)
