Switching off ABS Warning Light

My other half is shortly due to sit her test in her 98 Nissan Primera.

Car was put in for a service today, as her instructor told her the intermittent ABS warning light on the dash could fail her by default. Now it appears Nissan won't be able fix it in time for her test, as they have to order some part. They also say they can't (or I suspect, won't) disconnect the LED.

Just curious if this could be resolved temporarily by something as cheeky as removing a fuse for the test?

    Any thoughts etc. appreciated.
    CHEERS.

i passed my nct in my last car by pulling the fuse on the obc. the brake light blown warning was flashing even though the brake lights were fine. there were several fuses related to the warning light and it was eventually the third one i tried that turned off the warning.

micra is a very common car for instructors- maybe you can use one of their's.

I did a NCT on a BMW recently and there was an airbag warning light on in it, I was worried that it might fail but the tester told me that they couldn't actually fail me because of a warning light so it passed ok. That might work with you also.

    CHEERS. :)

Am off to the Learning To Drive forum to check out the law.

Although the last thing an already stressed test victim need is to have to argue the point with a tester...

EDIT - Warning lights not good.

However just heard an alternative car has been found - problem solved.
    Case closed - CHEERS!

Doing this has a few companies before the courts.
