Hey mate, welcome to the hell that is posting a hh!

In my opinion, it's generally a bad idea to not raise with a big pair pf, particularly aces.

    Raise!

As played, call. His range includes spades and a Jack, I think you're getting good enough odds and you'd still have outs if had the Q.

    EDIT: lol, spads..

Yeah as insafehands said, he could have a wide range. I would be more worried if he flat called here. I just dont see any Q push like this, if he had a Q he would want to get as much chips as possible in the middle and pushing is folding out so many hands he beats so it just dosent make sense. Youd expect him to flat call with a Q here and push the turn on any bet you make but this smells of Flush Draw, Jx,T9 or Lower Pocket Pair so id find a call unless ive a read that suggest he pushes with big hands.

mmm, Yeti Theorem?? Call. I can see him having a J more than a Q.

dont think villain has a jack here, he has a queen or a draw, you are flipping at best, fold. raise pre flop.

Anyone like a check behind on this flop? I'd always raise pf though.

If i remember correctly its that a 3rd bet on a paired board is usually a bluff.

no no no. it's that a re-re-raise on a paired board by the pfr is always a bluff.

    or is it re-raise

I would love to say I called seen a flush draw ,AJ etc, and AA held up. I was thinking like most of ye about the betting not been that of someone with Q. But for some unexplainable reason as i went for the call button , I Second quested myself and folded, (tourie live on the line and a touch of yellow being my only excuse ) Although i when on to cash in tourie . This hand still bugs me .....DAM
    Lesson learned and noted
My decision to check AA pre-flop (99.99% of the time like everybody I raise ) but this was one of these rare times where my position and opponent numbers ie 1, where I feel that it could be more profitable to check (disguising the strength of my hand ) and pick him off on say 90% or more of flops OK this time it when wrong , then again did it go wrong ? ..My lack of balls and a nightmare flop made it go pear shape. My pre-flop check on a monster although risky and wrong 99% of the time, Is still a move/play I will use again if the situation is right.......
    Or is this fish thinking?

I wouldnt check it against a good player. Against a monkey who is likely to make a stupid move with top pair then yes.
However playing on the Internet I dont see the point of checking AA.
You want to be building the pot.
The reason you're in such a difficult position here is that the player thinks you're weak, which is what you want. That reraise all in MIGHT be a Q , but more likely to be a flush \strt draw\ or J.
I am calling and then punching the screen when he shows Q2.

Unless, he knows that's what you'd be thinking and is pushing all-in to make you think he's bluffing. The thing is, you just never know.

the check pre flop is not the worst play in the world as the way the hand played out you have trapped him succesfully.

i expect to see kj here more often then not or even j10.Imo the check preflop has lewered him into making a big mistake in this spot.So i call here expecting to be miles ahead till the turn is another jack...:D
