Leading for $40 looks good to me but I'm interested to see the responses. I basically never ever check raise the river unless I'm certain the guy has a busted flush draw or is a river bluffing station.

I think there are just too many hands here that he can have that will pay off a river bet but check behind. i.e. any Jack, Q-T, KQ, K-T, K-9. and any underhouse raises you anyway.

Ya, 40-45 or so lead looks good to me without knowing if he takes a stab at this.

Yeah i think you have to lead here as you also have the chance of a smaller House or Straight Pushing over your bet and any Jack is calling so its surely +EV.

Why check call the turn? Because he's playing a tight game?
    Just wondering.

i can't see a worse hand calling a bet, except maybe kq. but my hand's too good to fold and he might just be repping the j so I'm not folding.

i bet 45 and he thought about it and folded. i regretted it at the time, but I think betting is better as he prob checks behind some hands he'd call a bet with. anyway he prob only had kq or something rather than the kj i was hoping for! his turn bet is a bit weak for a j i think.

i dont really like your bet, actually i hate it!!

you bet 1/2 of your remaining stack - 2/3 pot sized bet...

its too big for a value bet
its too big for perceived blocker - that he can succesfilly rrai with a busted draw/weak hand

either bet 30, all of it, or check imo

i wasn't too fond of it either tbh.

For once, this is stellar advice.

    I much prefer CRAI here.

i don't think checking is an option since he'll check behind with way too many hands that will call a bet. i think 45/50 is good. i don't like betting 30 either, it's too small, it's not getting much value out of a bare J or KQ. also you'd never bet 30 into a 60 pot on the river on a bluff.... consistency is goot no?
