Recently joined the dole as i have just finished college and applied for the dole. Got the jobseekers benfit which is for €185.80 a week, and recieved a letter saying that i got it and that it will b lodged into my back account on the 8th. But when i checked my bank statement and their lodgment was€123.90.
    Was the balance taxed????

Maybe you didn't get a full week.

Usually the first 3 days (waiting days) on a claim are not paid perhaps thats why you received a reduced payment

Even if he was he would still get a statement of the means assessed against him.

Couldn't be tax. Unemployment is taxable and taken of tax credits, Dole is not.
