Very interesting indeed. Could be in for some good games:D

Wayhey!! Can't wait to finally play SF3 though now comes the wait for emulation AND at least playable emulation. Though with the advances that have happened over the past few months hopefully we shant have to wait long. Now comes the crappy refinement of locating the correct CHD

All the games now work in some way. Was playing Third Strike just there. The menu screens are messed up but the actual game is fine, mostly. You need a new version of mame with the cps3 driver or the stand alone emulator called, cps3emulator :)

    http://nebula.emulatronia.com/

Head on over here guys for the CPS3 Test Emu, it should give you an idea of how far they've come since cracking the board (That's 2 weeks ago, mind) and to test if your computer is up for taking it.
This is a preview version of my CPS3 emulator. Here you
can see the current work-in-progress state of the emulation.

There are still a lot of missing features to emulate properly
so don't report any emulation errors yet. The missing features
include (and the effect caused by them missing) :

Sprite Zoom: you'll see the sprite tiles (squares) not being properly aligned or with gaps
Fullscreen Zoom: Sometimes it seems like the camera is not pointing to the action
Per-tile palette selection: some colors (a lot in some games) are wrong
Priorities: objects that are over the background when they should appear behind
Linescroll: Floor 3D effect missing. SF32ndi scrolling letters in intro missing.
Linezoom: I don't know where is it used :)

CPS3 Emulator Test Version. This package includes both the normal and MultiCPU versions exes.

Good news on the CPS3 emulation front. The link in the previous post I gave you plays Street Fighter 3 like a dream, no need for a CHD just get yourself the 35MB Rom and away you go. I just played it there on my work PC (128MB RAM) and it ran perfectly bar a little graphical issue with the background but who cares.................STREET FIGHTER 3 & WARZARD!!!!!! :D:D:D:D:D

Sound was fine for me, couple of glitches but none in the fights.

    happy days.

They have most of the palette fixed now, they moved really fast on this. Should be 100% pretty soon.

Bloody hell, 2007 is the year for Haze. 1st he springs Model 2 emulator outta nowhere and then he cracks CPS3, bloody brilliant!

For anyone having wobbly sound press F2 to go to TEST mode. Go to Game Configuration and I think in either SYSTEM or GAME options change the sound from JAMMA to EXTERNAL. This will fix any sound problems.

Does anyone know if Street Fighter III Third Strike works with this emulator. I can get the other 2 SFIII's to work fine but no luck with this one.

www.mugenfury.com has the latest HAZE source compiled with netplay.
My question is has anyone tried it yet? it works great for me but goes really laggy after the first much, wondering if its just me? pings fine at 15ms on a UK server.

    u need CHD for mame.

ALSO. has anyone tried their joysticks/sticks? mine dont hit diagonals?

Finally got round to giving Red earth/ Warzard and JoJo a bash. Very impressive stuff I have to say with only a few sprite issues that stand out. I have to locate Sf3 now and give it a test run tomorrow :)

Placebo my Wingman and x-arcade work perfectly with CPS3 Emulator Preview 2 Test version:confused:

It's because i prefered The Punisher and Final fight more I think. C&D is a savage game though and maybe I'll up it one for being letting the player run people over with a car ;)

I know you like your shup's Retr0gamer but Mars Matrix creeps ahead of gigawing imo!

Mars Matrix is brilliant but, hot damn, too many things can happen on the screen at once and then you lose track of everything / lose your mind and panic!
