great event this year, up until I competed I swore I hated tournaments and would never do another but I really enjoyed it in the end.

My highlights:
Guy getting choked unconscious, twitching, moaning, then standing up and taking a bow all in the space of 30 seconds.
Finally seeing mod o'reilly competing, definitely top notch grappling.
NG's 63kg Ger Haskins picking up and slamming a 67kg guy twice right over his shoulders.
Actually being surprised that roper doesn't look like wolverine/hugh jackman.

Thanks for hosting the competition Colm, was great fun for all concerned on our part! Myself and Eddie train out of Gracie Barra and we're hoping to bring a bunch of GB guys down to the next one! Very impressed with the standard and really enjoyed the challenge.

Ah great, I went up against Mark Curry. Sound chap.. At the start of the match, I was about to attempt a heel hook - Mark Leonard reminded me they were illegal. Totally forgot in the hindsight of things, before you know it - I'm mounted and triangled lol..

I'll check out the sheets later tonight and let you know how the semi's progressed. I know Connor Culleton and Oliver Geddes settled the final with RPS, but I don't know how Oliver won.

It was me, Conor, Oliver and Anthony Broxten (??) in the semis...

Conor and I went to a takedown decider, he got me n went through (a tasty slam it was too, im still feeling it ), Oliver got Anthony with a sweet armbar to go through to the final...

All went a little crazy after that though, Anthony couldnt fight for third cause his arm was still dodgy so i picked it up, Conor and Oliver didnt fight for the final since they both train at the same club (Rodger Gracies in London) n had an epic Rock Paper Scissors to decide a winner...from what i remember Olivers paper beat Conors rock, i may be wrong...

Yup Ollie caught Broxson with a sweet armbar. in the rock paper scissors final both Connor and Ollie both pulled rock out of the bag resulting in a draw, in the second round Ollie stayed firm with rock and Connor made the mistake of using scissors. epic battle

Andre had only been in Ireland a few weeks before the competition and he had been training in UCD. (I don't know where he is training right at the moment as I've not been training due to injury) Previously he has a few years experience training in Brazil (cant remember who his coach was, but it wasn't a Gracie)
