So Near, So Far

    So Near, So Far

Ive yearned so long to breathe this moment,
And now the time draws near.
All was once black now glistens golden,
To behold all I call dear.

Yet time grows old, its withered pace,
    Tomorrow never seems to wake.
If I could see that smile upon her face,
No risk I would not take.

And so I embark upon this latest quest,
And turn over a new chapter.
I hold it within to achieve a success,
And secure our happily ever after.

Take a moment to try figure out what its about. Take from it what you may, this is what I meant when I wrote it:
This is a very personal poem I wrote late last night. Its about a long distance relationship, how we've struggled to make it work against the odds and now its paying off as we'll be moving in together in September. :)
