After i got 2 smooth callers on the flop i felt i might be in trouble so i was planning to check/fold to a reasonable bet on the turn as my position wasnt great with 1 to act behind me. But i was getting 6.6/1 on the turn to call which i couldnt turn down.

Then the river gave me trips with a Q kicker so i was ahead of alot of other Trip Hands, the flush had landed but giving the betting on the flop i think the backdoor flush was somewhat unlikely. Was that a terrible call on the river, is this always a fold, i feel it was because its unlikely for someone to lead out 20 on a flush board if they havent something very strong, i knew i was beaten when Langlais Pushed but should i always fold to the river bet here with Trips or what comments have you about how i played the hand??

Preflop is fine,

I bet more on the flop, about 4.50 - 5.00. The board is fairly dry so I'm just looking for value here.

I lead turn for about 13 - 15. Still for value. I'd be most worried about Hokes here, he could pop up with a set or ak very easily. Against Langais we're way ahead of his range and should be looking for value.

I would be extremely worried when Hokes bets into me on the river, I hate when passive players do this because I'm forced to fold everything except the nuts. If his Total AF is less than 1 I'm probably folding here.

FWIW I'm still not worried when Langais pushes, if it was heads up it's an easy call, you'll see so many rag kings here. The backdoor flush is unlikely but a possibility, maybe 4hXh. After the push and when Hokes has just called I might call here because you're getting 7-1 but I certainly wouldn't like it.
