Power DVD and SATA

I've just installed two new SATA DVD drives in a brand new Rig & everything is working fine from that point of view. My query is to do with Power DVD? versions 5 and 6, neither will work. V5 will install but won't play anything in the drives, V6 will just not install at all. I'm on XP Pro & the drives are NEC SATA Burners.

Both versions of Power DVD work fine on all my other machines but none of them have SATA Burners.

Is anyone aware of Power DVD having issues with SATA Drives?

You could try patching PowerDVD to the latest version.

I know v7 works fine with SATA DVDRW drives but in theory so should prior versions as well.

Try MPC Home Cinema as the DVD player and see if movies play.
