Are there any airsoft teams in Ireland. In the region where I origanally come from, Cologne Germany, are some nice teams the play in Belgium anf Frace, just behind the close border (because airsoft in Germany is a little bit restricted - no full auto and only guns that were aproved by the gouvement*).

Just to give you an idea.

There were regular games against the other teams.

What do you think about it?

*oherwise you could get arrested for posession of an illegal gun

harry, firstly i didnt realise airsoft was restricted in germany, i always thought they were airsoft mad over there...certainly wasnt aware of the full auto 'thing'..

anyways...there are teams, but since it is new , there is only a few and most in formation...i seem to recall some of the board members here are a member of one...the first one that comes to mind is 'the ghosts'...they have a team in the north and one in the south as far as i am aware. there is a website called www.airsoftireland.com. that has a forum and there seems to be a few people at the early stages...

since it is legal here since only last year...i expect the next year or so you will see the formation of teams and indeed sites to play. once across ireland, people realise there is a friggen gold mine in this...u will see it kickoff..

    hope that helps

ps some cool websites there...and i see the dry german sense of humour is alive and well :D Fast Action Response Team..ala F.A.R.T...LOL ...u gotta love the germans....

    good luck...

    Fart lol...

Seen videos on youtube of german games using full auto..maybe they were in france or somewhere else. New zeland has restrictions on full auto so they all use semi even if the guns can use auto.(UTube)

There are a good few in the north but only one in the south. There are the Ghosts in the north but Na Taibhse in the south(Irish translation of the ghosts).

I was discussing setting uo a begginers team based in HRTA in swords.

I was discussing setting uo a begginers team based in HRTA in swords.

What kind of frequency/training/regimen/etc. are you looking at?

May be interested in that... (but, just bear in mind not everyone in here/into this is in their lates 10s/early 20s/at Cert level/with no "responsibilities" ;):D )

    Keep us posted.
