    Antbody any tips for cheap insurance?? A few of my mates r on their mams policy, and its around €400. I got a quote to go on my mams policy for a year of €2000 with her current insurer! Surely there's cheaper! Im 18 y.o.

    Pick up the Golden Pages and ring everyone. That's the only way to be sure you're getting the best price out there. Does your mother drive a particularly high-risk car?

    There may be something about your friends' cars or parents' policies that makes them cheaper... Are they older? More years on a licence? More years no claims bonus? I paid €2,500 to get insured on a Fiesta in my mother's name years ago, went down by about €500 a year for the following 3 years. She rang everyone, only a few people even gave her a quote for having me on the insurance, and Quinn were the cheapest...

    try quinn direct or brittion insurance. both very cheap.
