How do these people survive in the real world? Do they walk around wrapped in bubble wrap with their ears blocked constantly. I'm talking about the feedback moaners. Boards is one of the tamest forums I've ever been on and yet there are complaints in feedback on a daily basis about something offensive that was posted. Does this not seem like a bit of an overreaction to any, or is it just me. As humorous as these threads are, the sheer amount of them is getting ridiculous. Especially when half of the "abuse" reported is usually caused by someone failing to pick up on the sarcasm of the "abusive" post.

I could post links to a number of these threads, but there is no need. Go to feedback and click on a random thread, theres a good chance it'll be one of these types of thread!

Post reported. I will not take this personal abuse  *Heads off to the feedback forum to b!tch about raido* :D

Yeah it is a bit ridiculous but some people are easily offended. It could also be that because it is so tame and there are all these charters saying what can be done and what can't be done people feel they are being wronged more.

Some are for valid reasons, some aren't ..... It's nothing to do with being offended easily..

I'd like to know if some of the muppets who post abuse on these forums would be so quick to say the same things in 'the real world'.

Do you live in the real world. I hear worse abuse in work, where the consequences are more serious than getting banned from a forum. People jokingly abuse each other all the time, in my opinion anyway. Its called banter. It actually can be fun, you should try it.

I reported this post. My third cousin has osteogenesis imperfecta and he must walk around everywhere with bubble wrap. This is highly offensive to me and my family.

boards.ie is not the real world. Its a place where people spread far and wide who by and large do not know each other interact. If you were to walk down the street shouting abuse at people, how would you expect them to react?

Where, presumably, you know people. Or at least don't get abused within 30 seconds of joining. Frankly, there is little to no correlation between a workplace and a website for many people.

    Not in all cases.

boards.ie is returned in the top ten for nearly any topic that is but into google.ie
so you get a lot of people who find the site who have very little experience of other dynamic disscussion sites who quite frankly would run away from the internet if wha they first found was 4chan and SA forums.
