Fallon's Back!

I suppose you all know that Kieran Fallon returns to the saddle tonight after his 6 month ban for snorting "the magic stuff". He rides "The Bogberry" for O'Brien in the 5:45pm and from what I read he's flying back from London to be at Tipperary to ride it. I watched him when he ran at Gowran Park last time and he got an easy enough ride after being outpaced early and running very green and he was really getting the hang of things in the final furlong. I thought he was one for the notebook and was a bit p*ssed off to see "the flying mullet" booked for the ride as I'm sure he'll be about 50% of the price he would normally be with both Fallon and O'Brien I'm sure very keen to make sure Fallon gets off to a winning return. Anyone got any thoughts on the race and will anyone be brave enough to lay a bit of the measly odds on about this one?

He did well in the race considering the position he was in for most of it. Well timed & back with a bang!! G'wan the Fallon!!

Heard him on the radio this morning on RTE1... he's going to ride Eagle Mountain in the Derby more than likely, & you know what? He will win on this horse... assuming Authorized isn't entered!! lol!

Great ride from a great jockey. It's great he's back. I read he thinks a lot of The Bogberry too!

Having watched a re-run of The Derby yesterday evening, I felt Eagle Mountain was a bit unlucky. I'm not saying he should've won, but he didn't get a clear run until late, and even then, he kept hanging in with the camber. On a fairer track, like the Curragh, I'm sure he would finish a lot closer to Authorized, if not beat him.

I don't know, for me, I've never liked Fallon as much as others do. He is a top-class jockey without doubt but I've always thought that tactically he wasn't as good as others, especially riding from the front. I've felt similarly about Kinane.

I like Dettori (most of the time) and I would rate Kerrin McEvoy very highly. Jerry Bailey remains the best I've seen.

He was shockingly bad at the Curragh Sat Eve.Caught napping on Richlieu and found trouble in a 5 runner on Trinity College.
