    in the coffin?

Give it your best guess, and we will hold you to it, so you can come along when it is revealed and say "I always knew it was...":D

I wanted to put up a poll, but it does not seem to be working

Maybe a Mod would be kind enough to ad it:

    1. Sawyer
    2. Locke
    3. Ben
    4. Michael
    5. Juliette
    6. A.N.Other - Lostie/Tailie
    7. A.N.Other - Other/Dharma/Hostile
    8. A yet to be introduced character
    9. Atari J

I originally thought it was Juliette, but I'm not so sure. My other guess would be Sawyer, but I think the 'he' that Kate was referring to at the end was him.

I reckon Micheal. I'm too lazy too check but I think it said it was a guy in the piece from the paper. Also said they were survived by a teenage son. AFAIK he's the only person who could have a son of that age.

My bad, I missed that one :o

For the record, I'm going with Michael.

We've got to remember people that no one came to the funeral and when Jack was asked was he family or friend he said neither. So it sounds like some one who wasn't very popular. Which could lead to Michael as he did kill a bunch of the losties but why wouldn't Walt be there? So might be Ben, I think.

The coffin was way too small for hurley as well :D
Doubt it's sawyer. I'd say there would be more people there if it was. But the problem with it being in the future is that a character that is popular with all the other characters on the show could end up doing something that would piss a lot of people off and hence why there is no one at their funeral and vice versa. Damn future being so hard to predict.

Apparently the "he" Kate was talking about isn't Sawyer but someone we don't know yet. I don't think we've met the person in the coffin yet either.

I reckon its Michael as the funeral parlour was in a black neighbourhood, cant see Ben or Sawyer's funeral taking place there.

I don't think its Sawyer. After everything Kate and him were through together on the island I think she would have gone to the funeral. Or else Cassidy and her child would have been there, she admitted to Kate in the flashback that she loved him.

Can't think who the HE is that Kate mentioned. Maybe it is Sawyer but she told Jack she didnt want to go back to the island so maybe she is guilty that she left him behind. He was also quite annoyed with her in the finale when she said she wanted to go back to the beach, he said "there's always someone to go back for isn't there".

Also I can't imagine the rescue helicopter stoping on the beach to collect Sawyer. Juliet would have got on as well but she doesnt seem to have been in the flashforward.

surely Desmonds funeral would be in Scotland?...

I'm guessing with three seasons to go, either we haven't yet met the person in the coffin (quite possible considering how short some of the characters' life-spans are) or it's Michael...

I dunno...i think i'll be pretty damn pissed off if its Michael in the coffin. I have pretty much written him off. I think its Ben. I realise he wouldnt want to come back from the Island, but he might not have had a choice. And it would be a typical 'Lost' twist to see Jack so affected by the death of someone he currently (or in the past ) hated.

    Kristin shot him.

    Damn, wrong thread. Sorry.

I really think it's Locke, but I'm also kind of leaning towards Michael.
