That's not a silly question. It's just boring.

    A silly question would be:

How much fish is a giraffe?

No, that's more like 200 yards... We're in the metric system now so its a bit further on than that... Nearly as far as the tree i'd say... Wouldn't you?

For a huge guestimate there is just over 3ft in a meter.

So if someone told me our new house is 200m from the main street that's like a minute walk?

Sorry I know it's a crap question and I've just made all your days that little bit more dull.

    For God's sake.

Ever seen a 100m sprint? It's twice that long and you'll do it in a very short time indeed.

Now.... how much fish is a giraffe?

Ah...maybe we're talking about the feet of the walker.

    I'm confused.

I walk a km in about 10 mins, so it would be 2 mins for 200 metres. Roughly speaking that is.

Duh, one obviously. How much refers to fish in the singular, i.e. one. If the question were how many fish then that would be a whole different kettle of, eh, fish I guess. This only applies to integer values of fish though.

    Not so silly now eh?

Anywho on the whole 200m thing, if you've ever seen a 50m swimming pool then 200m would be four times that length. So it's from here to there times four. Simple, no?
