I’m flying to Orlando. I’ll be flying into Gatwick and getting a connection flight from there. My flight lands at 9:50 and my next flight is at 11:05. Never been in Gatwick before and just wondering if there is much of a distance between the domestic and international terminals?

There isn't domestic and international terminals, just North and South. To be honest, it sounds a little tight to me either way..can you tell us who your flying with, is the flight on the one ticket, or two seperate tickets etc? That might help folks give more useful advice..

Unless you are lucky that is too tight.. consider this

You get delayed here 20-30 mins because of rain/delays in takeoff / late inbound ...where are you left . Remember the arrival time is when the plane arrives at Gatwick , it than takes 10-15 mins to taxi to stand... and then you will take 10 mins to de-plane ( it's always slower when you are in a hurry ).

Never leave less than 2 hrs on a layover ( that's my rule anyway ) and 3 hrs for LHR . It could be LGW is the same as LHR where you have to go through security again and there are ALWAYS queues.

Thanks for your replies. In answer to your questions BuffyBot I’ll be flying with British Airways and the flights are on the one ticket.

    Hi,

    So that's LGW North then.

Ill be honest , never connected through there .......

So it's over to the experts :)

There is a free driverless elevated train between the two terminals - it's very frequent and speedy. But thats on the public side. If you are on the one ticket then i would imagine all luggage would be automatically sent on and you would simple get off the dublin flight and walk to the next boarding gate? I would not imagine you would have to leave the airside part of the terminal. Even so it does sound like a tight schedule.

If it's both BA, and on the same ticket you might just be OK. Both flights will be going from the North Terminal, your luggage will be checked through and you're boarding passes issued at departure point. You'll won't have to go out into the main terminal and clear security again, just go through the security at flight connections.

So if your first flight is on time, you might make it for the second.
