what do people think of this.....
going up blinds when you're losing....

lets just saw you start on .50/1 and lose
then you go up to 1/2 and lose
    then 2/4

do people think this is a good idea??
if so, when do you stop??? or can you stop???

weird questions i know, but its a major default in my game which leads to my looseness and want to get it resolved

also this buyin strategy.... lets say 1/2 blinds, buy in for 50, lose, buy in for 50 and lost, buy in for 100 and lose and give one last go with 200...
    how bad is that?? :P

This sort of staking system has been going round betting circles forever. For it to work you need an unlimited bankroll. In practice it just doesn't work!

if you cant beat .50/1, what makes you think you will win at 2/4?

    that will not work ever!!

As pointed out you will need an unlimited bankroll, and also unlimited available limits to play. As you will get very high very quick.
If you lost only 9 games in a row, you would need to jump into the next season of High stakes poker and double up to recoup losses

it's more fun to try this at baccarat.

lol! Martingale system for ring games, brilliant! Eventually you find yourself risking $1000 to win back the initial $50 you lost.

    yeah... eventually...

and its a bit more than 1k, haha... but i keep doing it.... dont know why. and if i come out of today with money im going to try and stop, i think its seriously messing up my game....
but at the same time, i dont like leaving the day on a loss, find that an easier way, hehe

p.s. ask anyone, i have the worst br management EVER!!!

It's not a good idea as people have listed.
When do you stop? Whenever you like.
Can you stop? I dunno, depends if you have any self control or if you value money.

I can think of one way of getting this fault out of your game. Don't do it. If you can't not do it then go to GA or something.

Also read what opr posted, this: Bankroll Management , if you have any determination of sorting this problem then just stick to the rules.

I've said this '000's of times on this site, without BR management all you are doing is gambling, it's not the type of Poker we talk about here, because you have other things on your mind that preclude playing a hand optimally.

Such as "if I lose this hand I could be broke", this thought should never even come into the thought process. Losing a Buy-In should be no more than a blip on the radar, you just re-load and try to win the money back, completely standard and happens all the time. Moving up to chase losses is the exact way people go broke.

And as Dev would say, I doubt this thread has much of a life left before teh lock.

Dougee..... I don't know you at all but from reading your posts especially the original ones I think you need to either give up the game or take it seriously.....

If your going to take it seriously lodge your BR on the site and play according to the rules of BR management. If you fall below the required ammount of Buy in's drop a level until your back up........ really is that simple..... do it you'll surprise yourself..

For the starters get rid of your blog, setting your targets to high for your br. 100/200???...thats just crazy buddy. If you want to keep that new house of yours drop down a few levels. Plenty of money to be made at 1/2 2/4

this is a terrible strategy, you must already know this and get some sort of weird kicks out of people telling you not do the crazy things you allegedly do.
