    Hi All,

I’m currently in the process of moving jobs to Dublin (Southside) & my girlfriend and myself are looking for a room or a apartment to rent from around the middle-end of July onwards.

    Basically we are
    - two professionals
    - easy going
    - non smokers

Transport is required nearby because our locations of work can change from month to month.

If anyone knows of something, or has something available. We would be interested, and it might save you a advert fee.

If not, does anyone know whats the best approach or guidlines for couples trying to rent

    Thanks

Unless they knew them beforehand, many people are loath to share with couples as it becomes an 'us against them' situation.

1 bedroomed apartments are expensive, your best bet might be to try to share a 2-3 bed with other couples.

apologies if this is an obvious answer, but have you come across www.daft.ie ? Has loads of house shares, I'm sure many people will be glad of couples.

I'm sure many people will be glad of couples.
    Yes and No,
Yes couples can be good because they won't be having parties every other night but the problem is they can make other single people in the house feel 'in-the-way' if they are sitting down to a DVD with a bottle of wine!
Two couples living together create even more problems if each want the house to themselves on various nights.
Alternatively a bit of friction occurs if one couple remains in their bedroom so that they can have privacy, others feel it's a them and us. They don't want to socialise with us anymore etc...
Just saying what I know of other people's experiences!
HOWEVER, if someone is single in the house FIRST, then meets someone, and their partner moves in, it's never as bad for some reason!

thanks for all the replys, i have checked daft and all the others sites, but very few want couples. i suppose the best way is to rent a two bed and rent one the rooms.
