asf to mp3 on a mac

    Anyone know how to convert an asf file to a mp3 file on a mac?

    Is doing the conversion on a PC an option? You'll have a lot more luck there.

    Couldnt you just use QT pro to convert to an aiff or wav and then if you specifically want mp3 use iTunes or whatever to convert the audio. Bit drawn out but it will work, (just tried there to check). Im sure there is something out there that will do it all in the one go but I didnt google.

    Would FFMpegX do it? Seems to do everything i need anyways.

    I don't have any .asf to test it with, but VLC Media Player might do the trick.

    if you can play it on the mac then im sure VLC, ffmpegx or Audio Hijack will do it
