Pace 2500 Tuner Problem- I Think?

    Hi Folks,

My Pace 2500 digibox has suddenly stopped working. All i can get is the Sky customer channel. System details come up as
    Signal Strength
    Signal Quality
    Lock Indicator - Not Locked
    ID - 0000
    Trans Stream - 0000

Message on each channel is "no satellite signal being received". Happened once before about 4 years ago. Think the symptoms were more or less the same. Got it fixed in Enniskillen. Anyone relate to these symptoms? As this is a fast digibox I was thinking of getting it fixed again. I assume a second repair is possible? After all 60 or 70 yoyos is better than a couple of hundred for a new one... Any opinions appreciated. cheers....

Sounds like the tuner is gone alright.

It's possible to replace the tuner, even though it was changed before. You could try PaceLink in Enniskillen again. Not sure if they're still repairing them, so give them a ring first.

Thanks yes I'm going to get if fixed by these people soon and keep it as a spare box. Just got a Panasonic from a guy at work for €50.think the model ends in 31.It has not been used for 4 years(on a desk in his office) and only spasmodically before that.Seems a good deal and is very fast.
    thanks

I believe it's the Panasonic DSB31 you got. A very good box and definitely worth €50 IMO. My DSB31 (or maybe it's DSB40) is still in action daily and working well.

As your Panny has been out of action for so long, you'll need to update the software, or it may not accept a viewing card.
