    Hi All,

Just a quick report on our Tournament League.

The League was run on a points basis with players receiving points for playing in a Tournament with bonus points awarded to the finalists. The League was run for 4 months between February and May with the Playoff being held on Sunday 3rd June. There was just over 1,300 players that entered the League and it was won by none other than Anthony "Chief Brody" McConnoll. The Top 3 Finishers received Cash Prizes.

    1st : Anthony McConnoll €1,000.
    2nd : Mick Stephens €600.
    3rd : Joe Ruddy €400.

The Top 40 finishers would then play in a Freeroll (Playoff) Tournament for the chance to Win a World Series of Poker Main Event Package worth
€12,000 which included Flights, accomodation, spending money and of course entry into this years W.S.O.P Main Event.
After 8 hours of play, Noel Keane knocked out 2 players in the last hand and emerged victorious.
Congratulations to Noel on his win and from all at The Sporting Emporium we wish him the best of Luck in Vegas.

    Alex.

I hope this means that the SE won't be taking 4% off the prizepool from now on? If so I might go along a bit more often.
