Some heap of ****e. I'd already seen it, but it just refreshed how awful this episode was. Pure ****e.

I really hope Michael was smart enough to format and refill his hard drive before chucking it in the river.
Best bit was Veronica being killed off...I never liked her.

yea but killing her off makes so much of series one seem redundant

Didn't the last series end with them being followed by a chopper off the runway? How'd they manage to evade capture?

Other than that a pretty underwhelming start to series 2, which is what I expected to be honest.

must admit, i like the new FBI character... seems like a good addition.

    Okay episode, but some issues.

Did I see it right, that Michael had 5 or 6 shovels in storage. If so, why? It should have been just him and Lincoln.

Also, as said by Earthhorse, the cops/prison guards were all over them in cars etc at the end of the last series, they were literally only a couple of yards away, but at the start of this series they magically outran them...

It's a tv show, not a factual documentary. Some people are too picky.

I liked it. I really like the FBI guy. It'll be good seeing him try and keep up with Michael. I just hope RTÉ pull out the double episode stuff of last year. I wanted more after an hour of watching.

    I liked it too.
I think Micheal wants the chase with William Fichtner's character. Delighted that he is in it too.

I just wonder how long this chasing will last? Will they get picked off one by one?

think they explained somewhere in the episode that the chopper had to go back and refuel.... pretty dodgy if ya ask me :D

It was good but I'm unconvinced if they can sustain the momentum for the whole series. Season One was very good but it had a lot of "pushing the boat" out moments, and I'm a fan of 24!

It was a bit strange that they killed Veronica so quickly but that part of the storyline was always a bit weak. Nice twist all the same, I didn't see it coming.

They started early this season with the helicopter's disappearance. Realistically would the prison guards really be responsible for the manhunt? Who is guarding the prisoners?!

Still I liked the ending. It looks like it's going to be Michael vs the FBI character in a battle of wits.

Also where David "Tweener" Apolskis gone? (The dude who thought he was black and was constantly getting hit on by the other prisoners.)

They told him to take a hike once they got out cause he revealed something to Bellick about the escape. The last he was seen was in a horse trailer going down a highway.

I read earlier in the year that he was busted for drugs and drink driving but I've been told he's in the second series (in what capacity I dont know).

Anyway I'd rather watch Haywire than Tweener. That guy is hilarious.

    Mahone rox.

Yeah he's in the second series.

Guy who plays him is due to be sentanced in August.

Ah yes, but there is taking the piss and then there is taking the piss and to be quite frank, Prison Break was taking the piss there. I'm not going to sit on the fence about that one.

Being a computer-minded person it would be extremly unlikely that it would be possible to get any data off that hard drive. It was inside in the river the whole time Mikey was in jail FFS (which is about a month I think).
I'd love to get my hands on the software that did that.

    You're not wrong. Terrible actress.

The part where the convicts escaped from the coppers and the chopper at the airfield was taking the piss alright. They were only about 10 feet behind them.

I enjoyed it.. I'd give it 8/10 even though the episode was pretty average but I just feel it's just been too long since I last saw Prison Break.
I'm glad Veronica's gone, never liked her either.
Loved the T-Bag scenes too, even though they were a bit stupid.
And bring on the return of Haywire!

Firs of all, it's great to have Prison Break! I never expected season 2 to have a touch on the first series and this first episode seems to confirm that...? It'll probably get better though. I'll watch it purely for Wentworth Miller though  I am in love with him...

Great to see William Fichtner as the FBI agent. He was fantastic in a show called Invasian (brilliant series, too bad it was cancelled. It also had yer one from 24 in it).

I'm not one who wants all the facts straight in a tv program (I watch Lost!) but how the hell did they outrun all those cops who outnumber them, have police cars, helicopters - EVERYBODY is looking for them...and they managed to escape. Kinda stupid but it would suck if they got caught so never mind.

And how has T-Bag not bled to death by now? And now he's going to have a vet sew his arm back on without anaesthetic. that's smart.

A bit of an anti-climax to kill Veronica off in the first episode, seeing as all the build-up she got from season 1.

I knew there'd be a lot of hatred for Veronica in this thread but I must confess I quite liked her character and the storyline she was involved in. I didn't love her (like I do Dr. Tandoori) but I'm still sad to see her go.

To be honest the pilot episode of Prison Break wouldn't have been much if it weren't for the twist at the end. I'm hoping the follow up episodes manage to live up to the quality of the first series. It would be a real dissapointment if they didn't.

They definitely do live up to it. Season 2 is equally as good, if not better than season 1. :D
