As I said in the Maritime thread I went up the mountains instead of heading into town as the weather didn't play ball. Here are a few of my fav shots from today for C&C.

Its amazing the difference a bit of sunshine makes in one day. Shame I didn't have this light yesterday :(

Love the second and third photos.Especially the second, very atmospheric. The first one though just seems a bit close up.The colours are great but I thought there should have been a bit more in the shot.I like the fourth one aswell, great composition.

Yeah if I could have gotten the whole fallen tree in sideways but there were other trees around it that ruined that shot. I like the green in it and the fact if you view it very quickly it kinda looks like a dinosaurs head.

I will be revisiting those woods when the light is better, they had a magical feel to them in the rain. I can just imagine the shots I could get with sunlight streaming through the leaves.

Some nice shots there. I haven't seen Pearse park that green in a looooong time :)

I've been trying a few of those sunlight through the leaves shots.Only got a couple of them right though. My hands are way too shaky and there aint much in the woods to leave the camera on :(

I've found the best places are well off the beaten track.Just make a beeline from one trail to another and there's guaranteed to be some surprises. You'd be surprised how easy it is to get lost in only a small bit of forest! It can be fun though:o
