What is the best way to sign up with them? I want to do temping work.

Do you just e-mail them your CV, and they get back to you when a job comes up? Or do you go in to their offices and get interviewed?

Might seem like stupid questions, but I've never done it in this country, so I'm not sure exactly how it works.

Just send them your cv or apply for jobs on their website. They may ask you to come in for an informal "chat". Monster.ie is really good for letting agencies get your cv

Every agency I've registered with for temping in Cork has insisted on meeting me before allowing me to 'register'. This is after I'd emailed in my CV. Going into them in person is best, as the pecking order for the best jobs usually depends on who the recruitment consultant is friendliest with.
