I use Brassington insurance. Paid €56 for the family annual insurance policy. It covers scuba diving and winter sports for trips up to 30 days max. It was done through the union in the job so im sure if your a member of a union you should be ok. Dont have their number to hand but they are based in rathfarnham.

If you have VHI already then their travel insurance is quite reasonable. You must be a VHI member though.

Make sure you read the trip duration esp. if you will be abroad for over 30 days.

    www.123.ie

I find them to be very competitive. A family of 2 adults and 2 kids works out at €24 for up to 17 days if you have your own health insurance or €39 if you dont, for a european destination.
