Home game ruling - tourney player given 3 cards

I'm the BB in a friendly (ish!) small stakes NLHE tourney me and my best mates play regularly. 5 of us left and I look down at KK. UTG folds, UTG+1 then announces "whoah, I can't play because I have three cards". It turns out the dealer (it's self deal, obviously) had given him three cards. Best we can figure out, when he gave him his second card he accidentally slid two from the top of the deck.

Anyway, so UTG has folded and quite honestly UTG+1 has said "whoah, I have 3 cards, I'm folding". UTG+2 (also the dealer) announces fold but the SB starts going mental saying the whole hand has to be re-dealt. I don't want this, obviously, as I'm looking down at cowboys. So I'm wondering, what's the correct call here?

Instinct told me that because players had folded, etc. that the hand should proceed as normal from that point with those still involved playing however before the flop is dealt no card should be burnt as the "burn" card was already dealt out. None of the still-involved players, i.e. SB and BB have seen more or less cards than they were meant to.

    So, what should've happened?

And, what would've happened if UTG+1 played the hand to the river with his three pocket cards?

Enough action has not taken place so this is a misdeal. 2 significant actions have to have taken place I think for the hand to continue. If this had happened before your friend noticed/said anything, then his hand is dead and paly continues. As it, it is a redeal.

Misdeal ... 2 significant actions must occur after the blinds positions for the hand to continue ..in this case there was only one

1 action is good for the hand to continue but you would not have got the 2 kings if the hand had been dealt correctly
Its a shame but its hard to judge or give rulings on situations that the forum havent seen at the time of the event. All that can and should be done is to ensure fairness at all times.

Even if there has been 2 callers it's not deemed 'significant action'. If there had been a raise and a call or a call and raise this would be enough to continue with the hand. Afaik.

As it stands its a re-deal.
