What tools do YOU use?

I love to play poker. On the net, live events and even in my sleep.

But when I play sometimes I need to find things to do to stop me becoming bored out of my brains and turning my pacience into tilt motions...

I listen to music all the time when playing. Sometimes when Im the winning mode, I end up playing air giture to the Artic Monkeys or the Strokes!

But in between hands or 10 handed games when I fold, I might play Mindsweeper to pass those few seconds. (I boast a score of 72 seconds!).

I would like people to post all tools that they use on the computer whilst playing. Read, play, look, etc...

Also if you use tools lets hear of the make and design. I mean stuff like converters, poker stats tools, prediction tools, etc...

    Everything but porn I mean...

I think one of my weaknesses is when i become bored so id suggest to add an extra table and keep taking notes on hands, this wont give you much time in between and youll be playing more hands and have alot of valuable notes when its time to make a decision.

    Tools i use for Ipoker:

Poker Office 2 (essential for tracking and overlaying stats imo)

Sometimes ill play music in the background, usually something mellow to help keep my concentration. I also have a deal with a boardsie who happens to play around the same time as me most days that we both mine eachothers tables using poker office while playing and review eachothers hands and stats afterwards which really helps keep discipline because if i make a stupid move and get caught out i know hes going to question me on it later. I started a blog to to keep track of my progress which helps with discipline too i feel.

I 3 table with my tv viewing proggy in the 4th quarter of the screen and PT running in the background. Probably not optimal but I'm playing .10/.20 which requires rocky play imo so it's just a case of avoiding boredom in general. I still haven't gotten around to using overlay software. I didn't know there was something that worked on ipoker.

itunes + Poker Tracker Omaha (for self analysis after the game)

I used to use a website that when given a hand history file would compute and graph expected value vs actual as a function of time during the session based on the odds when the money went in. It captured one aspect of luck/randomness in poker very well. I found this a great tilt mitigator when I was first learning as it helped to not be results oriented from the very beginning. Unfortunatley, I stopped using it and can't find it again. Anyone seen this?

Having some easy to watch TV in the background, e.g. Scrubs, Family Guy. This helps you from getting bored but it also doesn't distract you too much when you have to play.
Using this hand converter is very handy for forums too.
Using checkyourbets.com is great to calculate your hourly rate.

I've also heard PokerTracker is very useful but I'm too lazy to learn how to work it

Yep Poker Office works on ipoker, you can auto datamine a table just by opening it, max of 8 tables. Its not far behind poker tracker, just missing a few important stats, and the built in overlay is handy. It also has a pot odds calc built in on the overlay if your into that. And a very cool feature for reviewing hands, it basically a grpahical hand replayer but it overlays your stats at the time the hand was played which is essential when reviewing HH.

The only downside is it currently dosent work in mini mode which is a pain.

PokerTracker is a program that works on all sites(or the overwhelming majority of them). check out their website.

I play on Stars. I like it, good tournys and good cash tables going all the time. Re-sizable tables, no restriction (afaik) on the number of tables you can open (I only 4-table) Very, very rarely any network problems.
