When cropping photos, do you just manually crop to what looks good, or do you try and keep to say a 10 x 15 dimension ?
I have been pretty rigidly sticking to a 10 x 15 size dimension, as when i used to crop manually, i'd end up with all kinds of weird shapes ..maybe weird is good !

I tend not to crop unless I really need to (I'm lazy ;) ) but I think unless I'm planning on printing, which is very rare these days, the ratio isn't important. I think whatever suits the image. And the shape can become an important part of the composition. I've seen some fantastic long, stretched compositions that would have looked half as good in regular format.

It depends on the photograph. In general, I crop to what makes the image look best in my opinion; that being said I may revisit if I have to print.
