This show was very poor. Bad and all as it was, Fame and Fortune was better than it (God, I never thought I would be saying that)

Ah I'd never diss Laura, met her once and thought she was really nice. I didn't see the show but I'll probably take a look next week to see if it's as bad as you all say.

Awww ease up on her, folks. Watched 10 mins of it, to be fair its tedious, but Laura makes the best of it. At least with Fame and Fortune, you have just the 5 contestants for the host to interact with. There's 52 in this!!

For the record, the shows promo ad was great, shows the girl has talent(and is very easy on the eye;) )

Very poor indeed, the first three contestants were thick as ****, the first 20 min is boring as hell and the questions were as thick as the contestants.

Even my parents who never missed a show of winning streak said they wouldn't be watching it again, another quality programme from RTE.

Hmm, she's easy on the eye, & has a wide smile for obvious reasons (maybe explained in an earlier post)
but suddenly shifted into a :eek: where one of the guys ran down when called, landed a smacker on her while grimacing at the thought of an aul guy kissing her

I caught parts of the show in between channel hopping & heard this clanger: while askin where this fella came from, he said just down the road from Leeson St. She asked him "does it get busy there at night as i used to go to the disco's when i was younger" I couldnt stop laughin at that as that was one of the funny points of the show, if there were any more?

I wonder if the Lovely Laura will have any clangers on her new show nx wk, but although she's only new to the show, maybe she should have an L plate for a while til she gets up on her feet- no pun intended (well maybe)

When the two old one's from Kerry were at the wheel at the end of the show one of them said "ah sure we're neighbors"

The one on the show panicked on hearing this and said "your neighbors?!?", the old one responded no but we're nearly neighbors (ie: both from Kerry)

the thing is, nobody is supposed to know anyone

Ha! talk about 'neighbours' my neighbours cousin got called to the show, but didnt see him, As he's in the 52 strong crowd (as i've no idea how the arsed show works ) does he stay in the audience & get called to the show every week, ie Get to stay in a hotel+free travel up every week? Similar to Deal or No Deal a much better show-take note RTE! :rolleyes:

It gotta be hard to come up with interesting games on these lotto shows as there must be no element of skill involved - i.e. it is purely a lottery. I thought the lighting, graphics, stage and music were all very good and for her first primetime show Laura was good - she may not be to everyone's liking but that's life and as for "BJ's" well i don't think that works in the civil service which is what RTE is afterall. Only some small-minded twit would think up something like that.......

RTÉ is not the civil service, I wish people would stop referring to it as such. It's an institution where you have part of your brain removed when you enter. Honestly, BJ's are probably the only reason anything happens in the place.

She's not doing a bad job, at least the awful Lotto walk she does seems to be gone along with the Posh accent.

I saw the show last night. But the thing that hit me was the fact that the same card can come out twice, and it did on at least two occasions. So a player can get a second go. Not really fair is it?

I bought a trump show sratchcard and got three stars. showed it to my friend and said you have a 1/1000 chance of getting on the thing. i have never seen the show so what do i do to get on it?

Deal or No Deal is just as bad and RTE and every other TV channel should avoid this kind of SH1T. The only notes RTE should be taking from Deal or No Deal is that it is a Daytime Gameshow.

The questions are stupid on this show.

Laura Woods seems to be able to talk to everyone and seems to do a good job.

The set and graphics are terrible.

They should have got the producers of the add to produce the show.
