not sure if this is the right section but here goes.

i want to pay for flights to london with my 3v card. is it possible? they ask for card type, number, expiry date and the last 3 numbers on the back. not sure what i would do about the card type (visa?) expiry and 3 numbers...?

i havent used 3v before so i just want to know can it be done before i go and put money on it.

It should work with ryanair but maybe somebody can confirm this?

    Card type will be visa.
The expiry date and the 3 digits (the cvv2 code) will be texted to you when you buy the voucher.

If you take a look at https://www.3v.ie/ and look at the scrolling links of non exclusive places where 3v is accepted, you will see that Ryanair is one of them. You shuold be able to use it almost anywhere a normal Visa card is accepted. Your expiry date and security number will be text or emailed to you immediately after purchase of the voucher. Your start date is the month/year you bought it. Some websites have an option where you can select my credit card does not have a start date and some don't ask for one at all.

I've used 3v vouchers for booking flights online with ryanair numerous times, no problems whatsoever.
