Looks like a good enough seller. Plenty of positive feedback, and no negs in the past 12 months at least.

Only thing of notice is how little he sold in the past while (eg. Sold nothign between Aug 06 and Jan 07, and between Jan 07 and now) though he possibly just didn't have anything to sell.

    it seems good enough

    Sounds a bit dodgy alright.

There are loads of places around to get phones unlocked. Why not give that a go?

File a not as descirbed dispute with paypal, if the seller will refund you he can choose to do so through the dispute, also if you do send the item back make sure you use a method that has online tracking!

While its possible he is genuine and will refund you when dealing with large amounts of money you should cover yourself. File a dispute with paypal and it can all be worked through there.

If you send it back to him without filing a dispute then please use a tracking number for postage! That way if he doesnt refund you can file a dispute (within 45 days)

Did he advertise it as unlocked?
If so I would ask him to refund the cost of unlocking. Should be €10-20 in town.

why dont u get the unlock code off ebay? i saw a few sellers sayin they can unlock only the voda locked ones ,all u got to do is email them the imei and wait for their reply if they can do it or not.
i saw prices of about 15-20 pounds , you can ask the seller to pay for it sicne after all its his fault

Hello , Iam new to this forum so please excuse me if i hit the wrong buttons.
Buying mobile phones from ebay are both the buyers and sellers nightmare as there are so many scams going on.You can lodge a claimback from paypal but they will do nothing until you return the item. This seller appears to be fine and i would not worry but make sure you either return the item by special delivery or recorded. Please note that the seller is not responsable in paying you to return the item.I have been selling on ebay for a long time and even after this time i still get caught by scams .Its part of ebay life im afraid but i think you will be ok here.By the way you can get this phone unlocked so if you have got it cheap enough it might be worth keeping and paying to get it done.If you ever have any questions about ebay dont be scared to ask me and i'll do my best to help anyway i can.thanks
