Junior Cert - one day you'll be doing the Leaving cert

    Hi Junior Certers!!

    One day, you'll be where i am .. taking the Leaving cert.. one day hopefully you wont be taking the exams under the current system!

    We've set up a Leaving Cert Petiton that may apply to you one day


    Thers a petition going around for the Leaving cert to have an optional repeat exams..and not 12 months later.. spread the word

    I like this idea, not that it's gonna have any bearing whatsoever on the State Examinations Commision, but it's a nice idea, signing it can't hurt :)

    It wouldn't be aimed at the SEC. It should be sent directly to the Minister for Education & Science and forwarded to the NCCA.

    Actually Mary Hanaffin might, she seems quite in favour of reforming the Leaving Cert.

    The NCCA's job is to look into improving the curriculum and methods of assessment. In fact that did an entire review of the Senior Cycle recently, see [urlhttp://www.ncca.ie/index.asp?locID=343&docID=-1]here[/url].

    That's not the impression I got when she spoke at an Education debate in Trinity.
