A gang of us are heading to Bratislava and Prague in September for the Ireland matches and most of us are poker players so would be interested to hear any other posters' experience of poker in either city. Thanks.

I was in Praque last year for a week. Great city btw. There are plenty of casinos in the city centre (near Wenceslas Square) all advertising poker, but I was only able to find one place that had a game going at the time. Prolly because of time of year(out of season). The game was 10/20 CZK limit (I thinks its close to .50/€1 afaik). Not really a big game, think I bought in for the equiv of €80 and doubled up in an hour of playing.
Nice small place, soft game, friendly atmosphere and cheep beer. There was a bigger game on another table but was only really there for a short while so didn't sit in.

i was in Praque some years ago and by then they didnt have texas on any of the casinos we enter but never mind i just wanted to tell a litle side thing....

When getting into a casino you need to hand over your passport, so we did. And the girl turn around and opens a safe to put them in there, before she closed i counted to 8 guns and a huge number of knifes........

so i looked around and realise that the quards are fully armed watching every step you take so just small peace of advice... leave your guns at home!
