    hi

    on boards recently and only seems to be boards, everytime i try to load a page i get a script on this page may be busy, or may have stopped responding, stop it or continue. is there any thing I can do to stop this happening and why does it happen?

    only thing i think you can do is lower the max time allowed for a script to run...

    i assume you're using firefox? if you do this

    type "about:config" into address bar minus the quotes
    do a search for "dom.max_script_run_time" again minus the quotes
    and set this to a low value like 2.

    now instead of it waiting like 10 seconds to give you the dialog box it will only wait 2, i know it's not an ideal solution but hey it's a little less annoying don't you think?

    Set the value to 0 to disable script scanning if you want no interruptions, but this comes at a cost if you run into some buggy Javascript for example.
    I had this problem too -annoying to say the least, but it wont compel me to use IE7.
    Do you have loads of extensions that could cause conflicts?

    i tried 0 didnt work... wat u mean by extensions?
