Hey, I'm starting as a first year at NUI Galway next fall and I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the creative writing programs they had there? like, clubs or seminars or something?

I definately know there are seminars to help you write essays and to write creatively...talk to your tutor when you get there and they will tell you all about it.

There's a writers society, as far as I'm aware. Go to Socs day when you arrive, you'll find plenty of societies of the sort. :)

Right now I’m writing a love story. Would you like to have a global view of the story….i guess YES
    So, here goes the story
My story is about a man who has a 16 year old daughter and which is pregnant, his wife is no more so there is no one to comfort or talk to the child. Thus, the father has to do everything. Hence, He decides to see a professional person to tackle the anxiety of her daughter. So here comes the entry of the actress….she is the counselor. You must have imagined the ending….since 2 days I’m not writing anything since I’m ill. My dad had just bought some medicines for me….ummm I think he bought Beconase…yeah the stuff which is used for blocked nose.

They should have a writer in residence, every year. Well they did when I was there. It can be quite a mixture from local people to big names like Pat McCabe etc. Anyway part of their contract is that they have to do some classes for staff and students. But of course some will put on more classes than others. Ask around when you get there.

If not there are other writing groups in Galway.
